- Planning Process engaged the public through community involvement and consensus building exercises including: visioning, surveys, SWOT meetings, focus groups and stakeholder interviews
- Identifies strategies and recommendations in each of the following areas of study: Land Use, Economic Development, City Image and Identity, Downtown, Parks and Recreation, Transportation, Education, Community Services and Housing
- Plan was conceived with an overarching philosophy of Conservation, Historic Preservation and Economic, Social and Environmental Sustainability
- Project resulted in a long range vision and plan for Richmond's future growth
