Mr. Benken's twenty years of professional experience includes all facets of urban planning, design and construction documentation. His project experience includes community strategic planning, urban redevelopment, community design, mixed use and commercial development, parks and recreation planning and master site planning.

Well versed on the design principles for urban redevelopment, Mr. Benken is a frequent speaker at local and regional planning workshops and American Planning Association conferences throughout the Midwest. His professional expertise as it pertains to planning issues has been sought as a trial witness.

Over the past nine years, Mr. Benken has been instrumental in the development of City of Covington's Downtown Core Strategic Plan, Lexington Downtown Streetscape Master Plan, and several capital improvement projects.

Mr. Benken is a registered Landscape Architect with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Ohio State University, 1989.

Mr. Benken is a member of The American Society of Landscape Architects, The Urban Land Institute, and The Kentucky Chapter of the American Planning Association. He currently serves as the Vice President for Community Development for Kennedy Heights Community Council in Cincinnati, Ohio.
